Alcinda E. Lopes, 87, of Pawtucket, RI passed away on May 10, 2019. She was born on September 10, 1931 in Brava, Cape Verde. She married the love of her life, Jose P. Lopes, and was married for 68 years.

The couple had 15 children, Olavo Lopes, Maria Lopes, Carolina Lopes, Ilda da Rosa, Casimiro Lopes, Zilma Martins, Ester Lopes, Aduzinda Lopes, Carlos Lopes, Jose Lopes, Ana Lopes, Alberto Encarnacao, Rita Goncalves and Arthur Goncalves; 43 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 siblings, Edelmira Barros Encarnacao, Lidia Encarnacao, Alberto Encarnacao, and Luis Encarnacao.

Alcinda was a dedicated hard worker. She worked at Angelica for many years before retiring. Alcinda was a devoted and loving mother and was very proud of her family and had a great love for children. She was also known for her smile and caring heart. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 17th at 10:00AM directly in Bethany Church of the Nazarene, 1275 Pawtucket Ave., Rumford, RI. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 16th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
